Believe me no matter how many times I change the compression settings I can’t quite get this to look as fluid as it does via my VJ’ing software.
The price you pay for making digital files with the desire to have a film analogue, painterly, feel to them – with no hard digital edges.
Still I was pleased with the results of layering and Luma Keying (and more) the original imagery – which can only be achieved by re-mixing the specific colour schemes of the original footage – so you can’t just run some easy settings on any footage to get this result, so prior selection is key.
